Alsatian wine is produced in the French region of Alsace and thanks to its Germany influence; it’s the only Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC) region in France that produces a wide variety of labeled wines. Wines produce in this region are primarily white and typically produced from varieties of grape similar to these used in Germany. Together with Germany and Austria, Alsace produces some of the most renowned dry Rieslings of all just like greatly aromatic Gewurztraminer wines. Alsace region produces both dry and sweet wines under three different AOCs: Alsace AOC for white, rosé and red wines, Alsace Grand Cru AOC for white wines from certain classified vineyards and Crémant d’Alsace AOC for sparkling wines.
