“Grand Cru Classé”
Château Larcis-Ducasse is a Bordeaux wine from the appellation Saint-Émilion, ranked Premier Grand cru classé in the Classification of Saint-Émilion wine. The estate is located in the Right Bank of France’s Bordeaux wine region in the commune of Saint-Émilion, in the department Gironde, east of Château Pavie.
Since 2002 the property has been under the management of Nicolas Thienpont. consultants, Stéphane Derenoncourt and Julien Lavenu. The vineyard area extends 10.8 hectares (27 acres) to red grape varieties, with a distribution of 78% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the vines an average age of 35 years.
